Regulatory Committee Recruiting New Members

The new AHC Regulatory Committee is looking for more members! The committee held its first meeting in December 2023.

The committee has agreed to meet quarterly and the new committee charter reads as thus:

“To monitor regulatory issues that are of concern to the horse industry including, but not limited to, developments or industry driven initiatives, as well as state or federal agency regulations. Identify and prioritize concerns and opportunities, evaluate related information, and determine actions or activities that may be appropriate.”

The committee will review issues and topics relating to FDA-EPA operations, land use and EPA effluent plans and permitting processes, transport issues including but not limited too electronic logging devices and driver certifications, and more.
