Pendergrass Named Legislative Director for AHC

April 4, 2008, Washington, D.C. - Ben Pendergrass has recently joined the American Horse Council and will serve as the new Legislative Director.

Mr. Pendergrass came to the AHC after serving as a Legislative Aide to Senator Pete V. Domenici of New Mexico for the last 4 years. As a member of Senator Domenici’s staff he worked on a wide range of issues including immigration and agriculture.

Mr. Pendergrass graduated from Tulane University in the spring of 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration in European and American History.

“We are very pleased to have an individual with Ben’s legislative knowledge and enthusiasm come on board,” said Jay Hickey, AHC President.

“I am happy to be able to combine what I learned growing up in rural New Mexico and a lifetime spent around horses with the legislative experience I gained with Senator Domenici and put it to all to work for the AHC,” said Ben.
