The American Horse Council Joins Forces with Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health

The American Horse Council is pleased to announce that Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health has become the newest sponsor of the AHC.  This is a great opportunity for Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health to show their support of the American Horse Council, the horse industry’s unified voice in Washington, D.C.  “We are looking forward to working with Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health and we hope that together we can make great things happen for the horse industry in Washington,” said Jay Hickey, AHC President.

The American Horse Council works on issues in Washington that affect the horse industry both directly and indirectly.   As they near their 40th anniversary, the impact and influence that the AHC has had on the horse industry is undeniable.  Many of the activities that you enjoy with your equines have been affected by the American Horse Council’s hard work and efforts to preserve the integrity of the horse industry.  A list of the last 25 years of accomplishments can be found at www.horsecouncil.org

Intervet Schering Plough is the world’s largest animal health company that researches, develops, and markets animal health products for cattle, swine, poultry, companion animals, equine, and aquaculture.  ISPAH is recognized as a leader in the equine industry with such products as SafeGuard/Panacur, Prestige, ReguMate, and PreveNile.  “The equine industry is a critical part of our global business.  We are excited about our sponsorship of the AHC, and the opportunities that both groups can bring to the horse industry,” said Brett Whitehead, Director of Equine, and Retail Businesses.

With their combined knowledge in the horse industry, Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health and the American Horse Council will put the best interest of the horse industry in front of lawmakers in Washington.  For more information on becoming an Individual Member or a Commercial Sponsor of the American Horse Council, please email Bridget Harrison at bharrison@horsecouncil.org or visit www.horsecouncil.org/membership.html.
