American Horsepower Brochure Now Available

Washington DC-November 21, 2005- The American Horse Council is pleased to announce a comprehensive and entertaining look at the economics of today’s horse industry¾the new American Horsepower brochure.

This full color, 19-page brochure, contains statistics and information from the Economic Impact of the Horse Industry on the United States study that was commissioned by the American Horse Council Foundation and conducted by Deloitte Consulting, LLC. In the American Horsepower brochure there are horse population figures for all 50 states, horse owner demographic information and statistics pertaining to the recreation, showing and racing segments of the industry.

“This brochure clearly portrays a diverse industry that has existed in this country since its founding. It is an excellent tool for promoting the industry and its significance to the nation’s economy to those who are not familiar with horses in America,” said Jay Hickey, American Horse Council President.
